I hold space for the power of telling our stories while understanding that for some people healing needs to start not with talking but deeper, inside the body or spirit. EMDR & creative arts offer ways to do this. This practice is a calling that has led me to explore my own multicultural ways of healing.

Desensibilización y Reprocesamiento por medio de Movimientos Oculares (EMDR por su acrónimo en inglés) y las artes creativas ofrecen formas de hacer esto. Esta práctica es un llamado que me ha llevado a explorar mis propias formas multiculturales de curación.

Join us is celebrating the 25th annual Peace Over Violence Denim Day! Denim is a worldwide movement to end sexual violence. Since 1999, Peace Over Violence has run an inspiring and powerful opportunity to practice solidarity and support survivors by renewing our commitment to exposing harmful behaviors and attitudes surrounding sexual violence. Denim Day is a campaign on a Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim. I love traditional eye movement and tapping. I am now equally grateful to be able to offer clients alternative options like light bars, tappers, and tones. Post session clean up. Calling all therapists, social workers, and healers!
